  1. Do you charge extra when collecting the vehicle?

    No. At ROIG we have a policy of transparency and it also applies to our prices.

     

    The price you see when reserving a car with ROIG is the final price of the rental. However, you might optional add extra supplements such as the Basic Insurance without Excess, baby seats, etc., which you will find in the Extras section on our website. 

     

    If however, you pick up the car from the Airport of Palma de Mallorca, we will charge an extra amount for the parking ticket fee (of 12EUR max.), and if your flight arrives between 23h and 7h you will be required to pay a supplemental amount (44€).  

  2. What is the fuel policy of Roig Rent a Car?

    Our fuel policy is full-full.

     

    When renting one of our vehicles, we deliver it refueled and you will have to return it in the same condition - full. If perhaps you will not be able to refuel it, we will only charge you the fuel that is missing. Therefore, it is important that you have a credit card available for these types of extras.

     

    When paying with a debit card, if choosing the Airport as collect/return location, you will have to pay a fuel deposit. If you are using the shuttle bus to go to/from our offices you will not pay the refueling, but you will be asked to leave a deposit that we will return the last day of your rental period when returning the vehicle refueled.

  3. What is the time schedule for Collect and Return, without any supplements?

    Collect policy: If you arrive between 07h and 23h you will not have to pay any extras.

     

    Return policy: If you have the insurance Full Coverage Insurance you do not pay any supplementary costs. That’s because we do not have to provide any appraisal of the vehicle and you can leave the keys in a mailbox that we will inform you about when returning the rental car. In case of not having the Full Coverage Insurance, and you want to return the car between 23h and 7h you will have to pay a supplement for appraisal service.

  4. What happens if my flight is delayed?

    Your reservation is still valid.

     

    During your reservation process we will ask for your Flight number. It is important that you do not confuse this number with the booking number on your flight ticket.

     

    We will control the arriving hours of the flights and stay updated if there is any delay. However, the best is if you provide us with any information if the flight should be delayed.

     

    In the case that you flight is delayed, you will not loose you reservation but arrivals between 23h and 7h do have an additional overnight delivery fee.

  5. What type of insurance is included in the rental price?

    The price of the car rental includes a Basic Insurance with Excess.

     

    The amount of this excess depends on the vehicle’s model. You will be informed about this amount when making your reservation.

     

    This insurance is applied on a third party, but any damage that your vehicle might have during your rental period can be charged up to the maximum amount of equivalent excess amount.

  6. What is and is not included in the Full Coverage Insurance?

    This is the insurance that contains the best coverage.

     

    It includes: any type of damage or harm on the vehicle, unless this has been caused by driving reckless or under the effect of alcohol or drugs.

     

    This insurance does not cover: the lost or damage of car keys, or damages induced by the use of inadequate fuel. ROIG is not liable for any thefts of personal objects.

  7. What is excess insurance?

    When renting a car with ROIG, the price includes a Basic Insurance with an Excess payment.

     

    An excess is a contribution you are required to pay towards a claim you make on your car insurance policy.

     

    If the excess is 900EUR and the total damage cost is 100EUR, the client is only charged with 100EUR. In the case that the damage cost is above the excess amount, the client is only charge to pay the excess amount.

     

    We appraise the vehicle before and after the rental period to detect anterior and/or new damages. In order to apply this payment and insurance, we need a credit card from the client.

     

    The excess payment amount depends on the model of the vehicle.

  8. Can I pay with debit card?

    Yes, it is possible to pay with a debit card, but some of the benefits will not be included with this payment type.

     

    When paying with a debit card you will only be able to choose the Full Coverage Insurance. If choosing the Airport as collect/return location, you will have to pay a fuel deposit and return the car empty. If you are using the shuttle bus to go to/from our offices you will not pay the refueling, but you will be asked to leave a deposit that we will return the last day of your rental period when returning the vehicle refueled.

  9. What type of cards can I pay the car rental with?

    We allow payments with credit and debit card, Visa and MasterCard.

  10. Does the holder of the credit/debit card need to be the driver of the rental car?

    There is no need that the card holder has to be the person written in the contract, but the Cardholder needs to be present at the time of delivery and return of the car.

  11. When do I have to pay for my rental car?

    When you collect your rental car on Mallorca.

  12. Do you have Baby Seats, MaxiCosis and Boosters?

    Yes, we have four types of seats, from newborns up to kids of more than 18kg. You can choose these options at the moment of reservation or consult with us when visiting our offices. You can find more information in the Extra section on our website.

  13. What is the minimum age required in order to drive a ROIG vehicle?

    Drivers of the vehicle must be aged 21 or over and have held a driving licence for more than one year. In order to rent and drive a top range car, they must be aged at least 25

  14. Do young people pay more?

    No, the only requirement that ROIG applies to rent a car is that the drivers’ license is more than 1 year old and the licensee is over the age of 21 years.

  16. Which documents do you need when collecting your hire car?

    To collect your hire car you need a valid ID card or passport, valid driving licence and a credit card. You can pay with debit card but with special conditions

  17. Where do I have to collect my car at Palma de Mallorca Airport?

    The pickup at the Airport has two options, depending on what you choose. The first option is a direct pickup at the airport and the section option is a shuttle bus transfer to our offices.

    If you choose the first option, please find our Meeting Point on the 4th floor of the airport.

    If you choose the second option of Shuttle Bus: exit the terminal of arrivals by the 4th door, continue on the sidewalk located next to the taxi stands toward the airport parking.

    At the end of the sidewalk on the left, wait for the Shuttle Bus with letters ROIG.

  18. Do you have offices in the centre of Palma?

    If you want to collect or return your vehicle in Palma, you can do this by paying an extra fee. You can also choose the option of collect or return your vehicle in our office in Ca’n Pastilla, where you can access bus (numbers 15, 30, 21) or taxi options to go to or from Palma centre.

  19. Where are the ROIG offices located and what are the opening times?

    Roig has a 24 hour collection and return point at Palma de Mallorca Airport (situated on the 4th floor of the car park) and three booking offices located elsewhere on the island. You may book a vehicle by calling (+34) 971 64 81 18 or by sending an email to info@roigrentacar.com

  20. Where can I return the hire car to?

    You may return your hire car to any of our offices in Mallorca or to Palma de Mallorca Airport.

  21. Can I return the rental car to a different office from the one I collected it from?

    Yes, rental cars can be returned to any ROIG office or to Palma de Mallorca Airport.

  22. Can I modify or cancel my bookings?

    Yes, you can modify or cancel your bookings at no extra charge, right up until the booking date. You may do this either by phone or email.

  23. Will it cost me anything if I cancel my bookings?

    No, no charges are made for cancelled bookings.

  24. Will I receive any type of refund if I return the hire car before the date specified in the agreement?

    Yes, if you return the hire car before the agreement ends then we will refund the difference in price, discounting the days you will not be using the vehicle. No penalities are charged for early returns.

  25. Can I extend the duration of the agreement?

    Yes, you can extend the duration of the agreement. To do so, simply call in at any of our offices.

  26. Who is authorised to drive the rental car?

    Only those persons specified in the agreement may drive the vehicle. Up to two drivers may be included at no extra cost, and additional drivers may also be included for a charge.

  27. Can I choose between various types of vehicle?

    Yes, you can choose your rental car model in accordance with availability. If the car you have requested is not available, we will deliver another car in the same or superior category for the same price.

  28. How can I rent a top range car?

    To rent a top range car you must be aged 25 or over and have held a driving licence for at least one year.
